Late start due to my focus on Del Mar so we'll begin with race 3.

I really like the turf breeding for OPEN SESSION and it doesn't look like the distance will be a problem. There isn't much for speed to have to worry about - she might be able to wire them.

Race 4
NINER'S ECHO get's a lot of speed to gun for and that can only help this gelding. Love his 2 for 3 record on the Mnr turf course. Won't see the 12-1 ML but there should be some value nonetheless.

Race 5
This race looks like it's a two horse event at first glance. UNCLE VIC is a strong miler for this class, but there's too much speed for him to deal with today. The other horse taking action is VANDIANO. I'm sorry but 0 for 12 at a mile does not inspire confidence for me. I'm looking at the rail horse BLACK COUGAR. Pereira has ridden him well in the past and the step up doesn't really scare me. I also like DEB'S DAWAYTOGO as his effort the last time he went turf to dirt looked good.

MISS SIG looks like the drop might be enough. Certainly value at 4-1.

Race 7
Pereira is fast becoming my favorite jock at Mnr. He rarely makes a mistake and seems to be a very good judge of pace. He gets off the 7 (a true contender in this race) to ride the shipper from Thistle, DOUBLE WARRIOR. The horse isn't much to look at and the breeding is anything but regal, but I'll follow the jockey here and take a shot that the Lasix and stretchout will give us a placing at double digits.
